An early evening event celebrating Southland’s quirky and colourful grain spirit tradition.

 

Spirits from selected southern New Zealand providers will be featured, along with matched tapas style menu from the wilds of inland and costal Southland.  Featured of course will be Southland’s own ‘Old Hokonui’, along with representatives from other southern distilleries presenting tastings of their new and exciting lines.

​

Finest southern craft beer and Central Otago wine will also feature. For those of more temperate persuasion, Temperance Tea and traditional soft drinks will be on hand for your enjoyment.

 

As part of the Bayleys Tussock Country Music Festival, themed live country music by special guests will feature.

 

The Old Hokonui Museum will also be open for patrons to explore during the event.

Hokonui Mooshine Fest

 

No date has been set for the next Hokonui Moonshine Fest as a major Arts & Heritage Precinct redevelopment is in progress. This biennial event is usually held outdoors within the precinct, in late summer (Feb-March) and features music, food, beer, wine and of course Old Hokonui whiskey.
